With 2023 underway, Tracey has set some new goals for the new year!

When the calendar rolls around to January and a new year, I look forward to mapping out the next year of my life.

What are my new goals?

What are my plans for fun and fulfillment

What changes are on the way?

My brother Russ told me that if you don’t make decisions, decisions are made for you. I sometimes struggle making decisions, yet that is what I need to do everyday when running a company. This year I want to make decisions fast and furiously with no regrets!

The post-Christmas season is usually strange for those of us at Christies. We have been used to running our feet off for so long that we don’t quite know what to do with ourselves! Now that things have quieted down, it leaves a kind of empty feeling inside.

For me, I have dedicated so much time to living the “Panettone Lifestyle” that I need to redirect my focus. That focus now turns to my other love, Pizza! I will spend time working with our wood fired pizza to to deepen my understanding of the dough, and build my relationship with the wood fired oven. Every oven has a personality and the more you understand it, the better baker you become!

I am pretty excited about the plans I am making for fun and learning this year, as well as some new and interesting things we will be rolling out at Christies. I am very excited about our next “Big Night” Pizza Party for Pizza lovers on February 11th because I get to share my love of pizza with other pizza lovers!

As I make plans for the future, I need to remind myself to be in the now and enjoy what is happening in the moment. I want to be able to give myself a break when I need and also a pat on the back when I deserve it.

For 2023, I will try to be the best I can be.
