A Q & A With The Cheese List!
We've been busy getting ready for our Big Night Pizza Lovers party, and so have Kathryn and Bret from the Cheese List. They'll be serving up some cheeses alongside us, so we did a little Q & A so you could get to know them a little bit!
Q: Who are the folks behind the Cheese List? What are your backgrounds, your passions, and any other fun facts about you?
A: We are a husband and wife (and sometimes son) team! We met over a decade ago at culinary school in PEI. We love food (obviously cheese is included!), traveling, traveling to eat, and gardening!
Q: Why did you choose to open your business?
A: We love cheese, and we love Canadian cheese! We opened The Cheese List to be able to share the delicious Canadian cheeses that we wanted to be able to enjoy!
Q: What makes your business special and stand out from the rest?
A: We are striving to create an experience for people. We are providing cheese in a way that helps to maintain the quality of the product while treating the cheese with the utmost respect.
Q: What is your favourite cheese and what’s your favourite way to use it?
A: Kathryn: Menestrel, as a Monte Cristo or to just eat it!
Bret: L'Origine de Charlevoix, with a fresh baguette or crusty bread.
Q: And finally, does pineapple belong on pizza?
A: Kathryn: Hmmm, what a tricky question! I am not opposed to it. I can eat it. So I'd say there is a time and a place!
Bret: No.
If you want to try some of the amazing cheeses Kathryn and Bret have to offer (and trust us, you do!) they'll be at our Big Night Pizza Lovers party on February 11th holding a cheese tasting. Make sure you buy a ticket, you won't want to miss out!

How lucky our community is that entrepreneurs like Kathryn and Bret are willing to start a business and, best of all, celebrate Canadian cheeses! I wish them all the success in the world.
