Spring Thoughts with Tracey

It is the beginning of March and we made it through another Saskatchewan January and February. Fantastic!  It is at this time that my mind wanders to spring, but I don’t let my guard down too much. This is Saskatchewan after all and anything can happen. I am content to enjoy the weather of the moment and catch as many sun rays as possible to fill up my energy tank.

It is at this time of year that I start craving colour. Since we don’t expect flowers to bloom for a good while, I start to bring colour into my outfits. My good friend, Nicola, over at Better off Duds on 33rd Street lets me try on a bunch of fun dresses and it really puts some pep in my step. I like to call it dress therapy and Better off Duds is my favourite place for that!

At the bakery we continue with our regular production, making all of your favourites. I was able to take a turn at laminating croissants this week and that also gives me a psychological boost. Working with my hands in production is a stress release from overthinking.

Making croissants has always been one of my favourite tasks at the bench. Working side by side with my bakery family, sharing stories, and talking about life is very uplifting and fun. At this moment in time, I am searching for things that bring me joy and uplift me. With that, I hope to have positive energy which can be picked up by others and rippled out into the world.
