Back to School Breakfast Ideas!
September is nearly here, and that means we’re in the heat of back to school season. For a lot of people, the beginning of a new school year means busy mornings getting the kids up and ready for school and dropping them off at school. In the rush of the morning, it can be easy to forget that we all need to eat breakfast. I don’t have kids, but I still find myself choosing between having something to eat or sprinting to catch the bus. Of course, it’s important for everyone to eat a meal before starting the day. After all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. To try and help you get ready for those busy mornings, here is a quick list of easy breakfast ideas to get your day off to a great start!
(Pro Tip: For maximum deliciousness, make sure to use Christies baking!)
Croissant Sammie
A croissant on its own is delicious, but add some sandwich filling to it and you can take it to the next level! The options are endless! You can quickly toast the croissant (or not!) and spread some peanut butter and jelly on it for a classic sammie or add some egg and cheese and have yourself a fancy breakfast sandwich!
Egg in a Nest
Also called an egg in a hole, this classic breakfast meal is an easy way to add some protein in the morning. For whatever reason, I always enjoy the process of making an egg in a nest. I think it might just be popping an egg in a slice of bread. What can I say, I’m a man of simple pleasures.
Avocado/Tomato Toast
Simple yes, but sometimes that’s best. It’s honestly hard to find something better than a slice of sourdough with nothing but an avocado or tomato on top. Add a little salt and pepper and you have everything you need for a yummy breakfast! I like to add a slice of ham to my tomato toast to add even more umph to it.
Peanut Butter & Banana Toast
Here’s another simple one that’s guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. While you may have to deal with peanut butter and banana sticking to the roof of your mouth, it’s a delicious combo that’s well worth the extra chewing! Add some cinnamon to really jazz up the meal!
Egg Sammie
This is a staple of my dad’s breakfast and another meal that allows for creativity. If you aren’t afraid of a little mess you can fry your egg, or if you need to be on the go, simply scramble it. I like some ketchup on my breakfast sandwich and if I’m feeling crazy, even some bacon.
Those are just a few quick and easy breakfast ideas for the upcoming school season and there is definitely so much more you can make! What is your go-to quick breakfast meal? Let us know!

Rosemary, or garlic/asiago sour-dough, toasted, rubbed with fresh garlic clove, butter, mayo & sliced fresh ripe tomatoes is my current fave! Must try it with croissant! 🤗🥰😁👍
