A Season of Gratitude

A Season of Gratitude - Christies Bakery

This Thanksgiving we’re thankful for a lot of things. At the top of the list is our gratitude to be in the position to support our community. The support and loyalty of our customers means we have opportunity to give back to Saskatoon in very meaningful ways.

Your sugar cookie purchases via our Sweet Goodness program raise hundreds of dollars every month for a local charitable organisation. This month we’re raising funds for the C95 Radio Marathon for Breast Cancer Research. We’ve supported all kinds of folks since beginning this program - Foundation Skills and Learning, Haven Kids House, Str8 Up, and Girls Rock Saskatoon just to name a few. We donate bread and pastry to groups working hands-on to combat food insecurity in neighbourhood schools and places like the Friendship Inn. We are also able to support numerous local groups with raising funds for kid’s sports teams, graduation gatherings, medical expenses, and family emergency expenses.

All in all we consider ourselves dang lucky and are deeply thankful we can lend a hand. There are a lot of folks in our city who need assistance - now more than ever. If you’re in a spot where you’re able, we encourage you to find your own way to offer kindness to those around you and across our city. Something as simple as a genuine smile and hello to a stranger on the street can make an impact and doesn’t cost a penny. Cliche but oh so true.

So this is our long way of saying thank you to you all for lifting us up so we can lift others. Take good care of each other, both this weekend and beyond. And have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Love, The Muzzolini and Christie’s family
