In this German style rye bread we balance the rye flour with unbleached white flour, allowing us to get the flavour characteristics from the rye, but also a lighter, less dense rye bread beautiful for deli style sandwiches, toast or just plain butter. Or, show off its beautiful Vienna loaf shape by bringing it to the table whole so your family can tear off chunks to dip into your favourite soup or stew.
